
SALEM -
Currently working out frame concept for new painting. This is another element of the process I find a tremendous amount of joy in. I truly love carpentry. Working in the wood shop gives me immense comfort. I feel the frame can play just as much importance as the painting itself. After all it is the window frame to the window into that other world we look into.

SALEM -
Was able to put in a good full day of painting for “Salem”. Finished up comic book deadline early afternoon so was able to jump back onto the painting. It’s beginning to really pull together. Focused mostly on the bottom half environment today and focused on fixing the lighting by pulling out highlights. Such as the pages of this book. The lighting contrast was still a bit too muted before. This painting is really allowing me to open up the way I'm approaching with getting th

SALEM -
Not much progress on the work for "Salem" the last two days I have been finishing up a comic book deadline for my friend Keith. I got to spend a little bit of time painting foliage and branches today polling more of the painting together. I am still feeling the painting could be much more looser and expressive and get more life into the work but everything is still a learning experience and always gives me room to grow!

SALEM -
Another productive but slow moving day on this painting. This is one of my bigger painting 60" X 36" and one of the more ambitious ones I have done at this size. Sometimes it can feel like an up hill battle and very daunting at times. I am around two months already into the painting. Getting closer to finishing and will hopefully be done by the end of the month. Spent most of the day painting out a house. Just one small element in this very busy painting. I am excited to be p
